Delete ComponentHierarchy from publish instance

You want to delete ComponentHierarchy pages from your publish instance. You do not want to connect via CQDE to your publish (or you do not have a CDQE connection to your publish instance).

Solution

To delete them from the publish, do the following:

1. create a package.
2. Specify which component hierarchy pages you want to delete. For example, /apps/designground/templates/*/componenthierarchy is for all the component hierarchies under designground application.

Once you have created the package, you can use it to clear the component hierarchy pages using package deploy:

• Delete the component hierarchies from your authoring instance.
• Re-create the package.
• Deploy the package to the publish instance.
