Apply a fill color to an object

  • Select a shape layer.
  • Select the color swatch next to the Fill property in the Inspector panel.
  • Choose a color by dragging the color selector around in the Fill Color Dialog box.
  • Use the Eyedropper tool to sample colors from other elements in your layout.
  • Click the plus sign in the lower left to save the color as a swatch in the Color dialog box.

Apply a border color to an object

  • Select a shape object in your layout.
  • Select the checkbox next to the Border property in the Inspector panel.
  • Click the color swatch next to the Border property.
  • Choose a color by dragging the color selector around in the Border Color Dialog box.
  • Click the plus sign in the lower left to save the color as a swatch in the Color dialog box.

Create a gradient with a semi-transparent color

  • Select a shape object in your layout.
  • Click on the color swatch next to the Fill color in the Inspector panel.
  • Change the color type to a Linear Gradient in the top left of the Color dialog box.
  • On the canvas, move the first point of the gradient to where you’d like the gradient to start.
  • In the Color Dialog box, choose a color for the first color in the gradient.
  • Move the second point of the gradient to where the gradient should end.
  • In the Color Dialog box, choose a color for the second color in the gradient.
