When you try to install Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11.4.402.278 using SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), you receive a 1603 error.


Solution 1: Run the FixIt tool from Microsoft, and then uninstall Flash Player installations that the tool identifies.

Solution 2: Manually delete the Flash Player entries from the Windows registry.


Adobe doesn't provide support for editing the registry, which contains critical system and application information. Make sure to back up the registry before editing it. For more information about the registry, see the Windows documentation or contact Microsoft.

  1. Open Registry Editor.
  2. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products.
  3. Click Edit > Find and search for Flash Player.
  4. Manually delete the associated keys.
