Learn how to enable Adobe Flash Player for use in the Opera browser for Mac OS and Windows.

Enable on Mac OS

  1. Launch Opera.

  2. In the address field, type opera://settings.

    Open the Opera settings
  3. On the settings page, type Flash in the search field.

    Search for Flash
  4. Select Allow sites to run Flash.

    Note:

    If VPN is enabled, the setting defaults to Click to play.

    Select Allow sites to run Flash

    Flash Player is now enabled in your browser.

  5. To manage Flash Player settings by site, click Manage exceptions.

    Click the Manage exceptions button
  6. On the Flash exceptions screen, enter the website domain and then select Allow. When finished adding sites, click Done.

Enable on Windows 

  1. Launch Opera.

  2. In the Address field, type opera://settings.

    Open Opera settings
  3. On the settings page, type Flash in the search field.

    Search for Flash
  4. Select Allow sites to run Flash.

    Note:

    If VPN is enabled, the setting defaults to Click to play.

    Select Allow sites to run Flash

    Flash Player is now enabled in your browser.

  5. To manage Flash Player settings by site, click Manage exceptions.

    Click the Manage exceptions button
  6. In the Flash exceptions screen, enter the website domain and then select Allow. When finished adding sites, click Done.
