Adobe Bridge crashes when opening an image file in Camera Raw

Crash while using heal or clone tool in Adobe Camera Raw 13.1

In Adobe Bridge, when you use heal or clone tool on an image file (JPG, RAW, or any other) in Camera Raw 13.1, Bridge crashes.

Crash while opening an image in Adobe Camera Raw 12.4

In Adobe Bridge, when you try to open an image file in Camera Raw 12.4 (JPG, RAW, or any other), the image does not open in Camera Raw window and Bridge crashes.

Crash while opening an image directly in Adobe Camera Raw

In Adobe Bridge, when you try to open an image file directly in Camera Raw (JPG, RAW, or any other), the image doesn't open in the Camera Raw window and Bridge crashes.

Workaround

To address this issue, we recommend following the instructions below and update your NVIDIA driver:

  1. Manually remove all NVIDIA graphics driver modules installed on your system. Here’s a video that explains how to uninstall NVIDIA graphics driver from your system.

  2. Restart your machine.

  3. Install the latest Game Ready NVIDIA drivers.

    Note:

    Important: Performing Windows Update does not update your graphics driver. Go directly to your card manufacturer's website to check for driver updates.

If the issue still persists, do the following:

  1. Go to Edit > Camera Raw Preferences > Performance.

  2. In the Performance dialog box, choose Use Graphics Processor and select Off from the setting options.
