Look-back as the way to qualify for VIP Select

QUALIFY FOR VIP SELECT DISCOUNT LEVEL WITH A SINGLE PURCHASE

VIP Members qualify for VIP Select Discount Level with a single order of 10 or more licenses. Place a single order with a qualifying quantity to automatically upgrade your membership to VIP Select Discount Level and the corresponding benefits.

QUALIFY FOR VIP SELECT DISCOUNT LEVEL AT RENEWAL

If you’re looking to order 10 or more licenses within the subscription term period, you can qualify for VIP Select Discount Level with an automated look-back before renewal. 31 days before your Anniversary Date, Adobe tallies the total number of licenses purchased during your current subscription term. This total will determine your VIP Select Discount Level for your next renewal. If this total is more than 10 licenses, your renewal orders of any size qualify for the corresponding VIP Select Discount Level.

VIP Select Members qualify for 3-year commit

After qualifying for VIP Select, your organization has the option to receive set pricing* for up to three years when you commit to purchasing 10+ licenses in advance of your Anniversary Date for up to three years.

3-year commit ALLOWS EXTENDED BUDGETING AND MULTI-YEAR SAVINGS ON ALL PURCHASES

A VIP Member agrees to order and renew a set number of licenses before their Anniversary Date for up to three years. Also, when such VIP Member migrates to VIP Marketplace, the member agrees that the set number of licenses will auto-renew on the member’s Anniversary Date in VIP Marketplace.  In exchange, Adobe agrees to offer set discounted pricing* during Member’s 3-year commit term. 3-year commit allows budgeting for up to 3 years. With 3-year commit, you qualify for a discount level on all VIP purchases during the 3-year commit term (up to 3 years, through 2 renewals). And you can add incremental licenses or Sign Transactions while only renewing the committed quantity during the 3-year commit term.

Extra discount comparison

For Commercial and Government customers: 3-year commit offers an even bigger discount than 1-year subscriptions. When VIP Select Members accept the 3-year commit, their Discount Level is transitioned to the corresponding 3-year commit Discount Level, which has additional discounts.  For example, if a VIP Member with Discount Level 2 accepts a 3-year commit, then their VIP Agreement is transitioned to Discount Level 12.  Similarly, if a VIP Member with Discount Level 3 or 4 accepts a 3-year commit, their VIP Agreement will be transitioned to Discount Level 13 or 14, respectively.

To learn about specific discounts for each Adobe product, contact your Account Manager, who can explain how you can save through higher license quantities and through a 3-year commit.

Note:

First, purchasing Consumables, Adobe Acrobat Sign Solutions Subscription for Government, or Adobe Express for Education does not count towards obtaining VIP Select Discount Levels or meeting a Member’s 3-year commit Minimum Number of Licenses commitment.

Second, Consumables (including Acrobat Sign Transactions), Adobe Acrobat Sign Solutions Subscription for Government, and Adobe Express for Education can be added to a VIP Agreement with an existing 3-year commit. Still, such offerings will not benefit from a VIP Agreement’s Discount Level.

Steps to getting started with the 3-year commit

  1. Enroll in VIP

    Contact an Account Manager—an Adobe representative or an Adobe Authorized Reseller. You can enroll and place your first order at the same time.

  2. Qualify for VIP Select

    You automatically qualify for VIP Select Discount Levels once you purchase at least 10 licenses—either in a single order or via automated look-back, which determines if you purchased 10 or more licenses during your term.

  3. Accept 3-year commit

    After qualifying for VIP Select Discount Levels, you will receive a VIP Select welcome email with an offer for your organization to accept 3-year commit.

  4. Add licenses with set pricing* at any time

    Purchase new licenses or Sign Transactions with the pricing* offered by Adobe when you accepted your 3-year commit amendment even if you haven’t yet purchased that particular product.

Examples of 3-year commit agreements

When you accept 3-year commit, you agree to order and renew a set number of licenses before your Anniversary Date during the 3-year commit term.  Also, you agree that the set number of licenses will auto-renew on your Anniversary Date in VIP Marketplace, if you migrate to VIP Marketplace.  And in exchange, Adobe agrees to offer set discounted pricing* for you during the 3-year commit term. You'll renew (annually) twice during the 3-year term at the set license quantity. Here are two examples:

Example A: A school district or company qualifies for VIP Select with 120 licenses. They immediately accept 3-year commit, agreeing to maintain a minimum of 120 licenses through the 3-year commit term. There is no obligation to maintain licenses over 120 licenses after accepting the 3-year commit agreement. VIP Member may purchase 150 licenses in Year two, but in Year three they are only obligated to purchase 120 licenses.

Example B: A university or government department qualifies for VIP Select with 100 licenses. They later add 20 licenses and then accept 3-year commit, agreeing to maintain a minimum of 120 licenses through the 3-year commit term. VIP Member may purchase 150 licenses in Year two, but in Year three they are only obligated to purchase 120 licenses.

You must renew the minimum license commitment on or before your Anniversary Date each year during the 3-year commit term. You and your Account Manager will receive notifications that the committed quantity must be renewed before the end of the renewal period. If the committed license quantity isn't renewed by the Anniversary Date, all active licenses purchased with a 3-year commit discount may be returned, and the VIP membership status will return to Level 1. All discounts through 3-year commit will be terminated. If you still require Adobe licenses, then repurchase with current prices and transactional discounts and then redeploy licenses to users.

Failing to maintain 3-year license commitment

Promotional pricing is available only for an initial qualifying purchase. Under 3-year commit, promotional licenses revert to standard license pricing at renewal, as only standard pricing is provided to the Reseller for additional license purchases and renewals.

If your organization qualified for a multi-year promotional offer and has any licenses up for renewal while under 3-year commit, then you can renew those licenses purchased under promotion using promotional pricing until the promotion offer for those licenses expires. When a promotion offer expires, those licenses are renewed under 3-year commit using the standard price set at the time of acceptance.

Adobe is always innovating and may release new products available for purchase through VIP at any time. If, after you’ve joined 3-year commit, a new product is released and becomes available for purchase through VIP, then the initial price of that product will also be included in your 3-year commit pricing.

Adobe may discontinue the availability of a product at any time. If this occurs during a 3-year commit term, a Member can no longer purchase the product after its last sales date.
