Issue

When you install a version of Communiqué earlier than 4.2.1 on a Linux 64-bit server with JDK 1.5.0 , you get an error similar to the following:

CLASSPATH:/tmp/install.dir.30430/InstallerData:/tmp/install.dir.30430/InstallerData/installer.zip: grep: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ========= Forking JAVA ============================================= /opt/jdk1.5.0_12/bin/java: error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Solution

Disable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in the installer script:

cat cq4-2-0-20070327-db.sh | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" > cq4-inst.sh

Additional information

This error is the result of a problem within the Communiqué installer. The problem has been fixed in version 4.2.1.
