What is Adobe Marketo Engage?

Adobe Marketo Engage is a platform solution for managing B2B marketing leads through all stages of buying journeys, which natively supports both demand- and account-based marketing strategies. Adobe Marketo Engage includes customization options and third-party integration capabilities to allow users to orchestrate personalized experiences, optimize content, and measure business impact across every channel.

b. Each Adobe Marketo Engage instance includes 50,000 daily API Calls, 2 million Custom Object Records, and 25 Marketing Users. Enterprise-level package licenses of the Adobe Marketo Engage On-demand Services may include additional Entitlements as identified in the applicable Sales Order.

c. Customer is responsible for monitoring and limiting the amount of Contacts in its Marketo Engage database to not exceed the amount of Contacts identified in the Sales Order. 

2. Entitlements for Add-ons.

a. Target Account Management. Customer may enable up to 25 Marketing Users for this Add-on.

b. Custom Objects. This Add-on includes 1 million Custom Object Records.

c. Email Deliverability & Testing. This Add-on includes 15 Tests per month. 

d. Sales Connect. Customer may enable up to 5 Users to access and use all elements of this Add-on.

e. Sales Insight. Customer may only enable the quantity of Users licensed on the applicable Sales Order to access the web browser and Microsoft Outlook plugin elements. 

Scoping Parameters

  1. Website Personalization. This Add-on allows Customer to view the details of up to 100,000 monthly unique visitors for a Customer-designated website. Analysis and details of additional monthly unique visitors can be purchased for a subsequent fee.

Performance Guardrails

  1. Adobe Marketo Engage
    1. The peak sync rate to a Customer’s CRM system is 10,000 records per hour across all objects.
    2. The peak batch email send rate is 100,000 emails per hour.
    3. The maximum amount of records that can be imported at one time (via list import or API import) is 100,000.
  2. Website Personalization. This Add-on (or included feature, as applicable) is scoped to handle the provision of details for the specific number of monthly unique visitors that is included in the Add-on and/or Adobe Marketo Engage package Customer has purchased in the applicable Sales Order(s).

Static Limits

  1. Adobe Marketo Engage
    1. Engagement Programs: This feature is limited to operating 100 concurrent engagement programs (regardless of whether they are active or inactive). Each such Engagement Program can support 25 Streams. Each such Stream can support up to 125 pieces of content.
    2. Segmentation: This feature is limited to 20 segmentations of Contacts into distinct profile groupings, where each such segmentation can include up to 100 specific segments.
    3. Dynamic Content: Dynamic content blocks in a landing page or email can support up to 10,000 different permutations of displayed content resulting from Customer-input conditions.
    4. Uploaded Image and File Sizes: The maximum size of any image or file uploaded into the On-demand Services is 100MB.
    5. Imported File Sizes: The maximum size of any Custom Object data or Contact data imported into the On-demand Services is 100MB.
    6. Exported Campaign Results: This feature is limited to the exportation of 30,000 rows (i.e., the activities/activity types in a smart campaign) at one time.
    7. Custom Field Tokens in Emails: Each email template can include up to 40 custom field tokens.
    8. Size of Landing Pages and Emails: The maximum size of any landing page or email is 65KB.
    9. A/B Tests: This feature is limited to concurrently operating up to 10 test scenarios.
    10. Smart List Subscriptions: This feature is limited to 100 smart list subscriptions per instance of the On-demand Services, in which 100,000 Contacts are included in each such subscription. If a smart list contains more than 100,000 Contacts, only the top-listed 100,000 Contacts are included in such subscription.
    11. Webhooks: This feature is limited to trigger campaigns. Webhooks cannot be used in batch campaigns.
    12. Add-ons: All Add-ons set forth in this Product Description (whether or not such Add-ons are included in Customer's Adobe Marketo Engage Select, Prime, or Ultimate Package) are not HIPAA-ready, and must not be used in conjunction with data or processes requiring additional HIPAA or protections.    
  2. API Calls. 
    1. Rate Limit: A maximum of 100 API Calls can be conducted in any given 20-second period.
    2. Concurrency Limit: Subject to the further restrictions regarding Bulk Extract Jobs, a maximum of 10 API Calls can be executed concurrently.
    3. Batch Size: API Calls regarding Customer’s Contact database can include a maximum of 300 Contact records per API Call. API Calls regarding Customer’s marketing and organizational assets can include a maximum of 200 asset records per API Call.
    4. Payload Size: REST API Call payloads can be no larger than 1MB.
    5. Bulk Import File Size: Files imported via a bulk import API Call cannot exceed 10MB.
    6. SOAP Max Batch Size: SOAP API Calls can include a maximum of 300 records per API Call.
    7. Bulk Extract Jobs: A maximum of 2 Bulk Extract Jobs can be executed concurrently. A maximum of 10 Bulk Extract Jobs (including any then-executing Bulk Extract Jobs) can be queued for execution. The daily quota of the size-on-disk of the data retrieved by Bulk Extract Jobs cannot exceed 500MB per day; when such quota is reached, Customer cannot create or enqueue another Bulk Extract Job until such quota is reset at midnight Central Time.
  3. Custom Objects Add-on. 10 Custom Objects are included with this Add-on. Each Custom Object can include up to 50 distinct fields.
  4. Workspaces & Partitions. This feature includes 100 Workspaces and 100 Partitions.
  5. Sandbox. A batch campaign initiated in a Sandbox is limited to sending 25 emails in the campaign.

Definitions

Add-on(s) means additional Products and Services that may be licensed by Customer and identified on the Sales Order.

API Call means each request from Customer’s instance of the Adobe Marketo Engage On-demand Services to an external server to create, retrieve, and remove data in such instance, retrieve and interact with Contact records and associated object types, and interact with Customer marketing collateral and workflow-related records.

Asset means, with respect to Predictive Content, a single piece of Customer content (such as a video, e-book, blog post, etc.) that Customer decides to be prepared, approved and enabled for Predictive Content outcomes.

Bulk Extract Job means the execution process of an API Call to retrieve a large set of Contact and/or Contact-related data.

Contact means a single record of a person in Customer’s Adobe Marketo Engage database for whom Customer has a point of contact (email, Facebook, Twitter, physical mailing address, etc.).

Custom Object means a Customer-created attribute or identifier that can be assigned to a Contact, consisting of a name, description, and field(s).

Custom Object Record means each record in the Adobe Marketo Engage database for which a Custom Object has been attributed to a Contact.  

Engagement Program means a program created by Customer in Adobe Marketo Engage used to effectuate complex lead nurturing.

Entitlements means usage limits that are strictly monitored and enforced by Adobe.  Should Customer exceed an Entitlement, Customer may be obligated to pay additional fees or license additional capacity.

Marketing User means a User of Adobe Marketo Engage that can access and use all non-administrative functions of the On-demand Services (excluding, if applicable, the Account-Based Marketing, Sales Connect, and Sales Insight Add-ons).

Model means a single, customizable map of Customer’s lead journeys via defined revenue stages.

Partition means a division of leads in a segregated manner, acting as separate databases in which each such division contains leads that do not de-dupe or mix with other divisions.

Performance Guardrails means usage limits that relate to the scoping of Customer’s proposed use case. Should Customer exceed a Performance Guardrail, Customer may experience performance degradation; Adobe will not be responsible for such performance degradation.

Sandbox means a software environment Customer can use for development and experimenting with Adobe Marketo Engage features independently of Customer’s real marketing activities, training, quality assurance, and testing.

Scoping Parameters means usage limits that relate to the scoping of Customer’s licensed use case.  Should Customer exceed a Scoping Parameter, Adobe will work with Customer to remedy the issue leading to such excessive use. Should Customer persistently exceed a Scoping Parameter, Customer may be required to license additional capacity.

Static Limit means a usage limit that relates to the technical boundaries of Adobe Marketo Engage.  Customer may not modify Static Limits.

Stream means a pool of prioritized content that an Engagement Program uses to nurture leads.

Test means, with respect to Email Deliverability & Testing, a single, automated review of Customer content to (a) determine whether such content may cause trouble with spam filters or delivery to leads’ email inboxes, (b) validate that Customer website links and redirects are working and minimizing load times, and (c) preview how a Customer campaign will display across different email clients, web browsers and mobile devices.

Workspaces means separate work environments in the Adobe Marketo Engage database with their own marketing assets.
