Issue
Lightroom 6.14 or earlier crashes if you use the Face Detection feature.

Workaround
Turn off the Automatically Detect Face option

Lightroom may crash on launch If you were in the People view or you switched to the People view when the crash occurred. To fix this, reset the preferences. For more information, see Restore Lightroom Classic preferences to default settings.

Select Edit > Catalog Settings > Metadata (Windows) or Lightroom Classic > Catalog Settings > Metadata (macOS)

Deselect Automatically detect faces in all photos option under Face Detection.

Note:
Do not move to the People view or start Face Detection from the Identity Plate, because it enables this feature and can result in the crash.
