When to use the Spot Healing Brush Tool
The Spot Healing Brush tool is a one-click solution for removing small imperfections or unwanted elements. It‘s a good choice when you have a small area to retouch, like flyaway hairs, spots and other small distractions. The Spot Healing Brush tool, unlike the Healing Brush tool and Clone Stamp tool, samples healing pixels automatically.
How the Spot Healing Brush Tool works
The Spot Healing Brush Tool works by analyzing the surrounding content and automatically blending it with the area you want to remove, creating a seamless repair.
Use a separate layer for retouching
Placing your changes on a new blank layer allows you to edit and experiment without permanently altering the original photo. To ensure the Spot Healing Brush Tool works with multiple layers, check the Sample All Layers box in the Options bar.
