CQ5.3 Upgrade: The repository.xml file is missing

Symptoms

After upgrading from CQ5.2.X to CQ5.3 my repository.xml file is missing from crx-quickstart/server/runtime/0/_crx/repository.xml. Where is it?

Cause

In CQ5.3 the repository.xml file has been moved to crx-quickstart/repository/repository.xml by default.
