CQ5.3 DAM: Run the /var/dam to /content/dam sync tool to fix out-of-sync assets

Issue

When we upload assets to /var/dam through webdav, some assets are not showing up in the DAM Admin UI (i.e. /content/dam)

How can we re-sync these out-of-sync assets?

Resolution

CQ5.3 has a tool for repairing out-of-sync assets.

This tool can be found by entering following url: http://<host>:<port>/libs/dam/var_content_check.html

How it works:

1. First it checks if the files under /var/dam also exist under /content/dam, any missing assets are printed to the output.
2. Then it allows you to force a re-synchronization of these assets.
