How to configure a debug logger for MSM rollout based on modification? | AEM 6.x

This article discusses steps to enable a debug logger for MSM roll-out.

Environment

Steps

To troubleshoot MSM rollout based on event on the source page that triggers the actions

on Activation
on Deactivation
on Modification

follow these steps:

Go to http://host:port/system/console/slinglog.
Click Add New Logger.
Set it with this configuration:

Log Level: Debug

Log File: logs/msm.log

Loggers:
- com.day.cq.wcm.msm.impl.MSMEventProcessor
- com.day.cq.wcm.msm.impl.actions.ActionManagerImpl
- com.day.cq.wcm.msm.impl.actions.AccessControlActionFactory

A success log message after rollout on modify event, similar to the one below, shows:
