Content Package Comparator

The tool below helps you to validate that the versions of the packages installed in your AEM instance match the expected versions for your AEM version and patches.  This is helpful in validating successful AEM upgrades and service pack installations.   Instructions:

1. Before installation of package, copy/ paste the XML from http://aemhost1:port/crx/packmgr/service.jsp?cmd=ls  to the Actual XML text field.
2. After installation of package is complete ,copy/ paste the XML from http://aemhost2:port/crx/packmgr/service.jsp?cmd=ls  to the Expected XML text field.
3. Click Compare to view the diff.
4. Similar packages are displayed in white, differing package versions are displayed in yellow, newly added sub-packages are displayed in aqua, and deleted packages if any in light red.
