The Recent Files workspace is missing

Issue

The File > Open (Cmd+O) command no longer launches the Recent Files workspace when the Show Recent Files Workspace When Opening a File preference is enabled.

Workaround

Access a list of your recent documents by selecting File > Open Recent or through the Start screen.
