User Interface updates
Consistent menu bar appearance
The menu bar at the top of Application follows a consistent color scheme with the selected interface color theme, on Windows 10.
To set your color theme preferences, navigate to Adobe Bridge > Preferences > Interface (macOS) or Edit > Preferences > Interface (Windows), and select a Color Theme under the Appearance section.
Drag the slider left, to see the updated menu bar in Bridge. Slide right to check the experience on older versions.
On Windows 8 and earlier versions, the menu bar has a light color theme irrespective of the theme you choose. On macOS, the experience is already consistent with the selected color theme.
Image Backdrop theme support
You can now use the Image Backdrop slider to adjust the contrast levels in background of the Content and Preview panels according to your preference. This adjusted background color is independent of the selected interface color theme.
To modify the background theme, navigate to Adobe Bridge > Preferences > Interface (macOS) or Edit > Preferences > Interface (Windows), and adjust the Image Backdrop slider under the Appearance section.

Improved labels and ratings
The labels used to mark your files and folders in Bridge, are now rectangular in shape and have a fixed width. The labels are aligned to the left with star ratings visible over them, wherever applicable.
Use the new unrate icon to remove rating of any file or folder. For a selected thumbnail, you can also click a filled star to remove its rating. For more information, see Label and rate files.
Unfilled star rating icons are no longer visible below a file or folder, unless you select its thumbnail.
Improved Content panel view
With this release, margins and spacing in the Content panel have been efficiently utilized so that more thumbnails fit in the default view. This allows users to easily view more number of assets and browse through them.
Proxy server support
Adobe Bridge uses services like Creative Cloud Library, Adobe Stock, Adobe Portfolio, and Adobe Stock Contributor, that require Internet connectivity to run. Earlier, these services were inaccessible over Internet connectivity routed via proxy servers.
With this release, Bridge supports working in proxy environments. For more helpful information, see Proxy support for Creative Cloud apps.
Transparency support
With this release, Adobe Bridge supports transparency. You can see checkerboard thumbnails and previews for transparent .AI and .EPS file formats. Earlier, the transparency was replaced with a matte white background.
Support for new file format
With this release, Adobe Bridge extends support to Dimension Document (.dn).
To see a list of all supported file types in Bridge, choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Bridge > Preferences (macOS), and click File Type Associations.
