Recipient e-signing experience when using Mobile Focus

Understand your options when filling out forms and signing documents from your mobile device—anytime, anywhere.

The e-signing page is where you review and sign agreements from your mobile device.

It opens after you select the link in your email or message and accept the Terms of Use (if prompted).

What you see on the page depends on how the sender sets up the agreement. Some features may not appear for every signer.

Knowing how the e-signing page works can help you sign, delegate, or decline an agreement quickly and easily.

The PDF view

After you select the link to sign, the agreement opens in a PDF view. This view shows the whole document with interactive fields placed directly in the text.

You can zoom in and out using gestures like pinch and expand and move around the page by dragging your finger to pan. Zooming and panning may help you read the text and complete fields more efficiently.

The PDF view displays the agreement as a scrollable series of pages. To read and complete it, you can scroll through the document. A tab on the right side of the screen shows your current page number. Select it to enter a page number and quickly navigate to that page in the document.

You can select Next or Previous buttons to move between fields, and a progress bar at the top of the agreement shows how far along in the signing process you are.

The mobile-focused view

Some agreements include a mobile-friendly field view that makes it easier to complete required fields—especially when you're on the go. This simplified layout can help reduce errors and speed up the signing process.

If available, you'll see a Mobile view toggle at the top left of the screen. Toggle it on to switch from the PDF view to a simple list of fields. This layout makes it easier to enter information without worrying about field size or placement.

You can switch between the PDF view and the field list at any time. When you ultimately apply your signature, select Next and the browser returns you to the PDF view to select Submit and finalize the signature process.

Note

Access to the mobile-friendly view is controlled by the sender. It’s not based on your browser or device, and you can’t enable or disable it yourself.

After you complete all required fields and add your signature in the field list view, a Next button appears at the top and bottom of the screen.

Select Next to return to the PDF view where you can review the final document before selecting Submit to complete the signing process.
