Daylight Savings Time is a practice where clocks are set an hour ahead in the spring, and set back an hour in the fall.
Data collection in Adobe Analytics takes Daylight Savings Time into account, depending on the report suite's time zone. To check the current time zone of a report suite, navigate to the report suite's General Account Settings in the Admin Console.
- When Daylight Savings Time begins: In March, users find that there is an hour gap in data where Daylight Savings Time started. The hour did not exist, so it is not part of data collection. Note that a small amount of data can still make it in this hour. Data collection servers take several seconds (up to a minute) to take the DST adjustments into account.
- When Daylight Savings Time ends: In November, users find their data is double-stacked the hour where Daylight Savings Time ended. The hour occurred twice, so both those hours are aggregated in reporting.
