Effective December 11, 2017, Adobe Drive CC is discontinued. Use this page to understand the end-of-life and end-of-support policies for Adobe Drive CC.

What does end-of-life mean?

After the end-of-life for Adobe Drive, Adobe will not:

  • Provide access to the Adobe Drive installers.
  • Provide feature enhancements.
  • Address or release bug fixes.
  • Troubleshoot issues or provide support.

Why is Adobe making this change?

Adobe Drive CC is incompatible and not supported when used in workflows with version CC 2017 or later of many Adobe Applications. Namely Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe InCopy, and Adobe Bridge desktop applications. See Adobe Drive CC is Incompatible with Creative Cloud 2017 Desktop Apps.

Adobe Drive CC and later versions fail to install on macOS Sierra and later macOS versions. See Adobe Drive and Sierra | macOS 10.2.

The decision to discontinue the Adobe Drive solution is part of our strategy to provide integrated asset management experiences to Creative Cloud users in a way that reflects the current digital asset management (DAM) marketplace using best in class technology stacks and user experience design.

Is there another solution available from Adobe that replaces the Adobe Drive solution and is compatible with Adobe Experience Manager Assets?

Adobe Experience Manager Assets customers have the choice of using the Adobe Experience Manager Desktop App.
