You can now run Acrobat and Acrobat Reader in the emulation mode on Windows 10 devices with ARM processors. Currently, only the 32-bit (x86) versions of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader are supported.

For more information, see ARM processor support | Acrobat and Acrobat Reader on Windows.

Adobe PDF printer for ARM processor devices

In the earlier versions, installation of Acrobat could not install the Adobe PDF Printer on ARM processor devices due to the architectural changes making it incompatible. With this release, the Adobe PDF printer driver is upgraded for Acrobat 32-bit to make it compatible with ARM devices.

Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) is a Microsoft rights management solution. Users of Azure Information Protection and other Microsoft Information Protection solutions can use Acrobat or Acrobat Reader to read labelled and protected content. The MIP plug-in is now available for Acrobat 64-bit and Acrobat Reader 64-bit. You can download the plug-in from the MIP plug-in for Acrobat and Acrobat Reader page.

In the earlier versions, for MIP-protected files with Viewer and Reviewer permission levels, you could take screenshots using the Windows Snipping Tool; the file's content was visible during screen sharing.

In this release, this vulnerability is fixed on Windows. Now, when you share a protected file, the recipients cannot perform any of the following actions to copy, take a screenshot, or save the file:

  • Use the Snipping Tool to take a screenshot.
  • Screen recording using PowerPoint.
  • Use prints screen shortcuts like Win+Print screenAlt+Print screenWin+Shift+S, or print screen.
  • Slack, Teams, or BlueJeans screen sharing.
  • Game bar screen recording and snapshot.
  • Snapshot using Acrobat.

You can now sort files by name, last modified date, and sizes in online storage accounts like Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, and SharePoint in Acrobat.

You can now use your mouse left-click to go to the previous page or right-click to go to the next page of a PDF in the fullscreen mode on your desktop and touch devices.

You can now right-click the multimedia file in a PDF and select Save Audio As or Save Video As, depending on the type of multimedia content.

If Acrobat repeatedly prompts you to sign in, you can fix the problem by following the steps in the document linked from the prompt, as shown in the screenshots below.

Now the document security password must be at least six characters long for both the ways by which you can set a document password:
