Clear the cache on a viewer preset | Scene7

Issue

I changed a viewer preset and published, but the changes do not show online. How do you clear the cache on a viewer preset?

Solution

The viewer preset is CDN cached. Clear it manually in SPS by choosing File > Invalidate CDN.

Here is the URL structure to clear:

http://<<server>>.scene7.com/is/image/<<company>>/<<presetName>>?req=userdata,xml,UTF-8

For Universal viewer, it is a little different:

http://<<server>>.scene7.com/is/image/<<company>>/<<presetName>>?req=userdata,json,utf-8

To make sure that you are clearing the correct URL, use a tool like Firebug or Charles to capture the viewer requests for the preset.
