After using vlt rcp binaries are corrupted in the destination | AEM 6.x, VLT 3.1.38

After using vlt rcp 3.1.41 or earlier version to copy data between AEM instances, binaries are corrupted in the destination AEM instance.  For example, in the AEM Assets UI the renditions don't work or get displayed.

Migrating content between AEM 6.x instances using VLT 3.1.41 or earlier versions.

Cause

This is a known bug in vault 3.1.41 and earlier versions JCRVLT-186.

Resolution

Download and use the latest vault version.  The bug is fixed in version 3.1.42 and later versions.
