When you break down a traffic variable (such as pageName) by a traffic sources variable (such as referrer), a line item labeled No referrer (Includes mid-visit pages) is sometimes listed in SiteCatalyst 14. In Adobe Analytics, this line item is labeled Typed/Bookmarked.
Correlation reports can only use page views as a metric. All hits are accounted for in the report. Each hit falls under one of three categories:
- The specific page name did not have a referrer value at the time: This comparison can occur if the user navigates directly to the page. For example, it was bookmarked or they typed in the URL. Pageviews that match this criteria are listed as "No referrer (Includes mid-visit pages)" or "Typed/Bookmarked" in v15.
- The specific page name had a referrer that did not match internal URL filters: Each referrer is listed as a separate line item within the correlated report.
- The specific page name had a referrer that matched internal URL filters: This comparison commonly occurs when the specific page name was not the first page of their visit. Instead, the user landed on another page within your report suite and navigated to the specific page later in the visit. These items are listed as "No referrer (Includes mid-visit pages)" or "Typed/Bookmarked" in v15.
