Lightroom automatically helps you pick your best photos
Choose Best Photos allows you to quickly pick the best photos from hundreds of photos within a selected album. Lightroom suggests your best photos based on picture quality and the people within them. You can customize the results using the Quality Threshold slider. Easily share, flag, or rate your selected photos.
Support for new cameras and lenses
Find newly added cameras and lenses in the full list of supported profiles.
Lightroom now offers a robust color grading tool--three-way color wheels--which provides powerful color controls for shadows, midtones, and highlights at the same time. You can also adjust the overall color of your image using the Global control. Color Grading replaces Split Toning and provides more control to adjust colors in your image. Take your images to new creative heights by adjusting the color wheels in any combination to create subtle, vivid, complementary, or contrasting looks.

You'll notice that there are three color wheels - one of each for shadows, midtones, and highlights. You can also click the color wheel icons in the top row to view them individually. Move the desired slider to change the color tint. You can also adjust the Luminance slider that is present below each color wheel to adjust the luminance of the respective color tints.
Click these icons (from left to right) to access a full scale slider to adjust shadows, midtones, and highlights, respectively.Note:
A dot indicator is displayed against the color wheels if the respective color wheel has edits.

Adjust the Blending slider to set the degree of overlap between shadows and highlights. Drag the slider towards the right to maximize the overlap and drag it to the left to minimize the overlap. Set the Balance slider to balance the effects between shadows, midtones, and highlights. You can also use the Balance slider to control the amount of shadows and highlights. Values greater than 0 will increase the effect of highlights and values less than 0 will increase the effect of the shadows.
Note:
The Color Grading panel replaces the Split Toning panel. To replicate the effect of Split Toning, simply set the Blending slider to 100 and adjust Shadows and Highlights.

The last color wheel icon in the top row allows you to access the Global color wheel slider. This slider lets you change the overall color of the photo without affecting your previous color adjustments for shadows, midtones, or highlights.

Quickly shortlist your best photos in an album with the help of Lightroom. Follow these steps to know how:

Lightroom analyzes your album and picks the best photos. The analysis is based on photo quality and faces in the photos. The top photos that are picked are displayed in the Chosen section and the rest are shown in the Others section.
Note:
You need to have at least 10 photos in your album for this feature to work.

Lightroom desktop
- The Versions panel under Edit now automatically saves significant edits of your photo as a Version. You can view these versions each time you make a significant edit, leave the Edit view, and then return to it. For details, see Create edit versions.
- The left panel is now more organized to help you easily navigate through sections such as Learn and Discover. You can click the Photos icon in the upper left corner to collapse the panel and view it again.
- The Share menu now has a Previous Settings option. This allows you to quickly export your Lightroom photos with all of your previous export settings. You can also press Ctrl+E on Windows or Command+E on macOS to export photos using your previous settings. For details, see Export photos in the format of your choice.
- Experience enhanced zoom. Press Ctrl-click on Windows or Command-click on macOS to easily zoom into your photo. Hold down the key and click to zoom in and out fluidly. You can also drag an area to zoom in, while holding down Control on Windows or Command on macOS.

Lightroom for mobile (iOS and Android)
- The Versions panel under Edit now automatically saves significant edits of your photo as a Version. You can see this get updated each time you leave the Edit view after making an edit and then return to the Edit view. - Lightroom for mobile (Android) - You can now manually select the device folders from which Lightroom can import photos automatically. You can specify the import locations from the Auto Add preference. For details, see Auto import photos and videos.
