Introducing Adobe Profiles

Introducing a new sign-in experience for Adobe Creative Cloud users with multiple plans under one email address.

Watch this video to learn about Enterprise storage and Adobe profiles.

Note: The video is currently only available in English.

If you have multiple Adobe plans associated with the same email address, Adobe will create separate profiles for each of your plans, each with dedicated storage. In order to easily work and organize content across your business and individual plans, you’ll be able to select a profile — business or personal — at sign-in, and then proceed to create and store your content. This will improve the way you and your business store, manage, and securely collaborate on creative projects in the future.

Introduction to profiles

What's a profile?

Adobe profiles help you manage multiple Adobe business and/or individual plans (such as a Creative Cloud for individuals, Creative Cloud for teams, Creative Cloud for enterprise, Adobe Acrobat for teams, or Acrobat for enterprise plan) when they’re all under the same email address.

What's a Business profile?

If you received an  entitlement  from a business (i.e., an organization such as a business, government entity, or educational institution) for Creative Cloud for teams, Creative Cloud for enterprise, Acrobat for teams or Acrobat for enterprise, then the Adobe profile associated with that plan is a Business Profile.

What's a Personal profile?

If you  purchase an Adobe plan for individuals for personal use or on behalf of your company, or you sign up for a Creative Cloud free membership, then the Adobe profile associated with that plan is a Personal Profile.

Pastaba:
A Personal Profile only applies when you have an individual plan and at least one business plan associated with the same email address.

How can I view my current plans?

To find out which plans you currently have under the same email address, you can go to account.adobe.com

What should you expect when your profiles are introduced?

If you have a mix of individual and business plans

When your new profile experience is ready, we’ll provide detailed steps after sign-in to get you set up. We’ll list the Business and Personal Profiles we’ve identified under the same email address. We’ll then ask you to choose the profile where you’d like us to move all the content that’s currently stored in your Adobe cloud storage. You’ll always be able to download content from a profile if you need to move it later.

Where should you move the content that’s currently stored in your Adobe cloud storage?

Content refers to cloud documents, Creative Cloud Libraries, and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Document Cloud, Adobe Stock, Adobe Express, Behance, and Adobe Portfolio files. Adobe content and files stored outside of Adobe cloud storage — such as on a hard disk, in network storage, or in other cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive — are not impacted by these changes. So, any content stored outside the Adobe’s cloud storage will not be moved.

If most or all the content in your Adobe storage is associated with your business plan (such as Creative Cloud for teams or Creative Cloud for enterprise), select your Business Profile to move all your content there.

Profile setup screens

If you have some personal content you wish to move out of your Business Profile, you can do so at a later time. Until then, your plan administrator may be able to control the content in your Business Profile, but it won’t be accessible to others on your team unless you share it with them.

See, how to move content across profiles.

What will happen after my profiles are set up?

When you sign in to your Adobe account, you may see a profile switcher and have to select one of the following profiles.

  • Your Personal Profile will correspond to your individual plan (such as a Creative Cloud for individuals).
  • Your Business Profile will correspond to entitlements provided to you by a business (such as Creative Cloud for teams or Creative Cloud for enterprise).

The Adobe plan for individuals may have been purchased for personal use or on behalf of your company. Either way, Adobe plans for individuals will always be in the Personal Profile, whether they’ve been purchased for personal or business use. Only Adobe business plans will be in Business Profiles.

Each profile will include the apps and services corresponding to their respective plan(s). For example, if you have an Adobe Illustrator Single App plan for individuals and a Creative Cloud for teams All Apps plan, you’ll be able to access Illustrator in your Personal Profile and All Apps in your Business Profile.

All the content you’ve stored in Adobe cloud storage will be moved to the profile you’d previously selected at the time of setup.

If you have multiple business plans

If you have multiple Adobe business plans (such as Creative Cloud for teams or Creative Cloud for enterprise; Acrobat for teams or Acrobat for enterprise; Adobe Stock for teams; or Experience Cloud) associated with the same email address, we’ll be introducing Business Profiles to your sign-in experience.

When you sign in to your Adobe account, you may see a profile switcher. The switcher will allow you to select:

  • Your Business Profiles, which correspond to the business plans provided by each organization.
  • Your Personal Profile, which includes the content you currently have stored in Creative Cloud and Document Cloud storage.

Įspėjimas:

Business profile setup may take a few days.

What will happen while my profiles are being set up?

Select your Personal Profile to continue working while your Business Profiles are being set up. We’ve automatically included access to all Creative Cloud apps and Acrobat Pro in your Personal Profile for 60 days at no additional charge to ensure there’s no disruption to your work. This will allow you to access any work-in-progress files and move content between profiles as needed.

What will happen after my profiles are set up?

We’ll send you an email confirmation once all your Business Profiles are set up. We recommend that you move the content from your Personal Profile to the appropriate Business Profile after setup.

Select the Business Profile you wish to work in. By doing so, you’ll access the apps and services provided by the corresponding organization.

Choose a profile

Why has my content been moved to my Personal Profile?

If your multiple Adobe business plans have been provided by different organizations, departments, or administrators, we cannot predict where your content belongs. Therefore, we’ve moved it by default to your Personal Profile so you can then move it to the appropriate Business Profiles.

Why does it take a few days to set up all my Business Profiles?

Your business plans are associated with different organizations, departments, or administrators. The respective Adobe plans will be updated at different times. We’re trying to schedule the updates of the organizations connected to your Business Plans within a reasonable timeframe, while managing these conditions through thousands of users and organizations.

I don’t pay for an Adobe individual plan, so why do I have a Personal Profile?

We’ve provisioned you a Personal Profile and included the Creative Cloud All Apps plan for 60 days at no charge to reduce any disruption to your work and to help you move content to the appropriate Business Profiles once they’ve been set up.

What happens after the complimentary 60-day Creative Cloud All Apps offer expires?

After 60 days, the complimentary Creative Cloud All Apps offer will default to a Creative Cloud free membership. If you haven’t moved all your content out of your Personal Profile within 60 days, it will still be accessible through assets.adobe.com when you select your Personal Profile.

Why can’t I see all my Business Profiles at once?

Your multiple business plans are associated with different organizations, and their storage upgrades are happening at different times. We’ll send you an email to confirm when all your Business Profiles are set up.

I can’t find some apps in my business plan Where can I find them?

Prior to the new profiles, all your plans were located in one place. Moving forward, each Adobe business plan will be in its respective Business Profile. Therefore, you might have different Adobe plans in each of your profiles. For example, you might have a Creative Cloud All Apps plan in one profile and a Creative Cloud Single App plan in another profile.
