Captivate installation shows blank page after signing in

Steps to fix the problem of a blank page while installing or updating Captivate.


When installing Adobe Captivate (2019 release), or updating to Update 1 using Help > Updates, a blank white screen appears after the sign-in screen.

Install Adobe Captivate (2019 release) for the first time

Follow the steps below:

  • Replace the Set-up.exe file inside the installer folder with the one in the location.
  • Reinstall Captivate.

If you still encounter a blank screen, replace the latest Set-up.exe file with the one located here, and re-run the installer.

Install update via Help > Check for Updates

Follow the steps below:

  1. Replace the Set-up.exe file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\HDBox with the one located in either:
    1. Location 1
    2. Location 2
  2. Reinstall the updates using Help > Check for Updates.
