AEM forms on JEE users are unable to log in to administration UI. When a user tries to login to the administration console, the login attempt fails, and the user is redirected to the login screen.

The issue occurs on the AEM forms on JEE environments using the IBM WebSphere application server.


The issue occurs when the cookies for HTTPS session are restricted on the WebSphere application server. The restricted HTTPs session cookies results in different session id for each request. Perform the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Log in to the administration console of WebSphere application server.

  2. Navigate to Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > [server_name]> Session management.

  3. In the Session tracking mechanism section, select the Enable cookies option.

  4. Click Enable cookies. In the General Properties section, deselect the Restrict cookies to HTTPS sessions option.
