Use Cases


Step 1: Create and Configure an Analytics Report Suite

Adobe Analytics collects, analyzes, and reports data for all Experience Cloud solutions. In this step, you create a report suite to collect analytics data. This report suite is associated with a web property in the next step.

If the websites you are hosting in AEM sites have similar metrics and performance indicators, you can use a single report suite along with separate virtual report suites for each web property.

  • Can I use virtual report suites?
    Virtual report suites are recommended for roll-up and individual reporting for sites or site sections.
  • Do I need real-time reports beyond the setup phase?
    Real-time reports provide limited reporting within minutes of collection.


  1. Enable real-time reports. Real-time reports are essential during the setup phase to quickly see data in your report suite. After verification these reports can be disabled if they are not needed.

Step 2: Create a Web Property in Dynamic Tag Management

Dynamic Tag Management is used to deploy page tags for the Experience Cloud ID Service, Analytics, Target, and other Experience Cloud solutions. In this step you set up a DTM property and add marketing tools.

  1. Create a web property.

  2. Add an Adobe Analytics tool.

  3. Add an Adobe Target tool.

  4. Enable Audience Manager server-side forwarding.
