Empty package breaks Package Manager

Symptom

Opening CRX Package Manager returns status code 500 internal server error.

Resolution

This can happen if you create a package and close it without building and saving it - i.e. an empty package.

The solutions is to delete the empty package via CRX Content Explorer.

1. Open CRX Content Explorer.
2. Navigate to /etc/packages.
3. Delete the package file node.
4. Click Save All.
