The behavior is different for segment audiences mapped to real-time and batch destinations.
If the segment is outbound to a real-time destination, the visitor's profile will be updated at that time the visitor has activity on our edge servers (data collection & profile cache servers). If the segment is mapped to a batch destination (sending data files overnight), new devices will be segmented with the new rule and the new segmented profiles will be sent to the destination.
