Acrobat online services are a set of online tools that let you complete PDF and e-signing tasks fast in any browser. You can also access them when you sign in with a free or paid account.

No, you can only try the tools from the Acrobat online services page or if you sign in with an Adobe account.
From the Adobe Acrobat online services page, select the tool you want to use and follow the how-to steps. Note that Acrobat online services upload your files to Adobe Document Cloud. If you sign in to use a tool or to save or share a file, Acrobat will save your file to your Adobe Document Cloud account. If you don't sign in, even if you download the file, Adobe deletes it from its servers within a short time period to respect your privacy.
Without signing in with an Adobe ID, most tools let you complete one free transaction and download the resulting file one time.
If you sign in with an Adobe ID, you can share, fill, sign, and comment on PDFs for free. When you sign in, you can also try other premium tools. See below for free limits.

Acrobat online tools have the following limits:
- Acrobat online tools support PDF files of 100MB or less, except for the PDF to Word and PDF to PPT tools that support files up to 200MB and the Compress PDF tool that lets you compress a PDF that is 2GB or smaller.
- A maximum of 500 PDF pages are supported by the tools: Delete PDF Pages, Rotate PDF Pages, Reorder PDF Pages, Extract PDF Pages, and Crop PDF.
- The Split PDF tool lets you split a PDF of up to 1GB with a maximum of 1,500 pages into as many as 19 files.
- With the Merge PDFs tool, you can create a merged PDF of up to 1,500 pages; you can combine up to 100 files, with each file having up to 500 pages.
- Similarly, the Insert PDF Pages tool has a maximum limit of 1,500 pages for the final file, with each inserted file limited to up to 500 pages.
- When you add a password to a PDF using the free version of the Protect PDF tool, you won’t be able to remove the password. To remove it, you must purchase an Adobe Acrobat subscription or sign up for a seven-day free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Acrobat Web and Extensions offer one free transaction. There are a few tools that you can't try without signing in.
If you sign in with an Adobe ID, you can fill, sign, share, and add comments to files for free. To try other premium tools when signed in, free users are subject to the following limits:
- When trying premium tools, you can make one free transaction every 30 days on a rolling basis. For example, if you sign in for the first time on any given day and use the Convert PDF to Word tool, you've used one free transaction for the current 30-day period. If you access the Compress PDF tool 15 days later, you can't use it as you've already consumed your free transaction for the current 30-day period. To use a premium tool for free again, you must wait until the end of the 30 days.
- Request e-signature transactions may be subject to extra limitations.

Yes. To ensure your files are safe, Adobe uses the AES-256 encryption standard and Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 for Acrobat online services. TLS is a security protocol that provides privacy and data integrity for Internet communications. It keeps data secure when being transferred over a network.
All uploaded files stored in Document Cloud are automatically labeled Private, which means the files are only visible to you. Take explicit action to share a file, or it will remain private.
After using a tool, you must sign in to save or share your file. Otherwise, Adobe will delete the file from the server within a short time period.
