This document contains late-breaking product information, updates, and troubleshooting tips not covered in the InDesign Server documentation.

Welcome to the November 2021 (17.0) release, the latest/most current version of Adobe® InDesign® Server.

License agreement

Internet connection, Adobe ID, and acceptance of license agreement required to activate and use this product. This product may integrate with or allow access to certain Adobe or third-party hosted online services. Adobe services are available only to users 13 and older and require agreement to additional terms of use and Adobe’s online privacy policy (http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/legal.html). Applications and Services may not be available in all countries or languages and may be subject to change or discontinuation without notice. Additional fees or membership charges may apply.

Additional install/uninstall scenarios

InDesign Server must be activated before it can be used. If the computer is online, activation is done automatically when you install. To learn how to create Online activation InDesign Server package, see Create packages using Admin Console | InDesign Server.

Known issues

  • If you add other applications to the package containing InDesign Server, ensure to review the system requirements for those applications so that they are supported on the environment in which you'll install the package.
    Note: If the package contains an application that is not supported in that environment, then nothing will be installed in the package.
  • (macOS only) InDesign Server quits with a segmentation fault after few days when run with session support on Mac 10.15.7.
