Premiere Pro and After Effects version 22.3 offers Frame.io integrated directly into the app. Just download and install the latest Premiere Pro or After Effects, and sign in/sign up for Frame.io.

Note:

All paying Creative Cloud Individuals and Creative Cloud Team members are entitled to Frame.io for Creative Cloud at no additional cost. Frame.io for Creative Cloud is also included in Premiere Pro and After Effects single app subscriptions. For more information, see:

  1. Open your app and access the Frame.io panel in Premiere Pro - Window > Workspaces > Review and After Effects - Window > Review with Frame.io.

  2. Sign into Frame.io with your existing Adobe ID. To locate your ID, use this link - https://account.adobe.com

Using older versions of Premiere Pro and After Effects?

If you are using an older version of Premiere Pro or After Effects (version 22.2 or earlier), install the Frame.io extension through Adobe Exchange.

Install the Frame.io extension

Open the Adobe Exchange page or search for Frame.io here, sign into the same Adobe Creative Cloud account that you're using with Premiere Pro or After Effects, and then install the extension. Afterward, close and restart all Adobe applications.

Activate your Frame.io account

Frame.io is included with most Creative Cloud paid memberships. Get started with Frame.io for Creative Cloud by signing into Frame.io with your existing Adobe ID.

To activate your account:

  1. Open the in-app panel from Window > Extensions > Frame.io, click Continue or the Sign in button.
  2. It redirects to the Frame.io authentication portal on the web. Enter the email associated with your Creative Cloud subscription and click Let's go. 
  3. Click the Continue with Adobe button which redirects you to the Adobe authentication portal. Enter your details to sign into your Adobe account. 
  4. Close the window and go back to the app on your machine.
