Learn multiple ways to add eye-popping cinematic elements to product launch videos.

Search on Adobe Stock

Search for Motion graphics templates on Adobe Stock.

On stock.adobe.com, set the search bar filter to “Templates” and search for the term “movement response”

License the selections, which will automatically download it to your computer.

Note: You can also search and license directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro within the Essential Graphics panel Browse tab.

In a screenshot of a web browser window, the Adobe Stock website shows that a visitor has selected the category ‘Templates’ which sits in the search field behind a simply wrapped gift box with snow falling around it

You can also search directly in Adobe Premiere Pro

Let’s see what that looks like. Inside Adobe Premiere Pro, open the Essential Graphics panel, click on the Browse tab, and then underneath, click on Adobe Stock.

We’ll search for the keyword, “2d smoke effect” and license an animation pack directly in Adobe Premiere Pro that we’ll use later in the tutorial.

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot, the editor uses the Essential Graphics panel to search for Motion Graphics templates with the keywords ‘2d smoke’, while an extreme close up on a mountain bike hub and disc brake is shown in the Program Monitor to the left

Import your template

In the menu bar, click Window > Workspaces > Graphics

  • Locate your Essential Graphics panel
  • Click the Browse tab
  • In the lower right corner of the panel, click the Plus button to import your downloaded Motion Graphics templates.

Navigate to its location on your hard drive and select it.

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot, the editor navigates a finder window dialogue box to select their newly downloaded Motion Graphics template

Place the template on your sequence

In your Essential Graphics panel, click the Browse tab. Scroll to (or search for) your newly imported motion infographic template.

Drag and drop the template onto your timeline.

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot, the editor drags and drops a Motion Graphics template on the timeline’s track V2 above the edited video on track V1

Customize the template

Use the Essential Graphics panel’s Edit tab to customize the look and feel of your new Motion Graphics template.

In our example, we're bringing a mountain bike's hub, spokes and disk brake to life by adding a glowing blue graphic.

We’ve made the following adjustments:

Animation Style: 3

Global Position: X 960.0 Y 880.0

Global Size: X: 100.0 Y 100.0

Flip Horizontal: checked

Color: White

Glow ON/OFF: checked

Glow Color: electric blue

Glow Radius: 100

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot focused on the Program Monitor, which shows an extreme close up on the hub, spokes, and disc brake of a mountain bike surrounded by a blue glowing animated graphic, and the Essential Graphics panel, the editor adjustments the Glow ON/OFF in the Motion Graphics template on the timeline

Duplicate the template

Now we’ll duplicate your template in the timeline to add a few more highlights to the product.

Copy and paste your existing template on the timeline as many times as you like, and use the Edit tab in the Essential Graphics panel to customize the look and feel of the template again and again.

We made the following adjustments to add some electricity radiating out of the wheel hub:

Animation Style: 1

Global Position: X 488.0 Y 269.0

Global Size: X: 100.0 Y 100.0

Flip Horizontal: un-checked

Flip Vertical: checked

Color: White

Glow ON/OFF: checked

Glow Color: electric blue

Glow Radius: 100

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot, the editor has control+clicked on the Motion Graphics template in the timeline, revealing a pop-up dialogue box, where they’ve highlighted the word ‘Copy’

Add additional graphics

Different segments of your video call for different Motion Graphics templates. In this case, the mountain biker riding the new equipment could benefit from a smoke trail as he descends the single track.

We’ll use the 2D smoke graphic that we licensed directly in Adobe Premiere Pro in Step 1 above.

Add a few instances of this Adobe Stock Motion Graphics template like in steps 3 and 4 above.

In this case, we made the following customizations to the 2D Smoke Effect:

Animation Style: 2

Global Position: X 1598.0 Y 222.0

Global Size: X: 100.0 Y 100.0

Color: White

Glow ON/OFF: checked

Glow Color: white

Glow Radius: 100

We also added an additional smoke effect with just the following two settings changed:

Animation Style: 7

Global Position: X 1598.0 Y 148.0

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot, the editor adjusts the settings of a Motion Graphics template in the Essential Graphics panel while in the Program Monitor a mountain bike rider banks a turn in the woods and an animated smoke graphic can be seen on screen

Find the perfect music track

In Adobe Premiere Pro, select the Audio Workspace preset, or choose Workspace > Essential Sound to reveal the all new Essential Sound panel with Adobe Stock audio built right in. Make sure you click Browse at the top of the panel so you can explore the extensive library.

You’ll notice that the Browse tab in the  Essential Sound panel has a search bar, as well as three options to help limit your results: Mood, Genre, and Filters

Once you find a track that you want to cut into your timeline, simply drag and drop it from the Essential Sound panel, directly into your timeline.

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot focused on both the Program Monitor, which shows a close up on the hub of a mountain bike, and the Essential Sound panel, the editor has is hovering their cursor over the filter by genre option in the Essential Sound panel

Play the video

Tap the spacebar to play your video through. Check for pacing and for any necessary edits to your Motion Graphics templates.

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot a close up on a mountain bike hub with a glowing animated graphic is sitting above the timeline with a short edited film cut on three video tracks and one audio track

Export

Export your video with an Adobe Premiere Pro preset for social media or desktop presentations.

In an Adobe Premiere Pro desktop screenshot, a drop down menu reveals that the editor has clicked File > Export and is hovering their cursor over Media...
