Upon launch, slideshows, video collages, and Candid Moments are automatically created just for you on the Home screen. You can effortlessly view, open, edit, save, and instantly share your Auto Creations on your favorite social media sites.

Auto Creations are powered by Adobe Sensei AI technology and highlight memorable events like birthdays and vacations.

Enhanced Quick view

Making movies is easier than ever!

The enhanced Quick view leads you through the steps to trim a video or use the simplified sceneline to combine clips, photos, titles, music, and more into a unique production.

New Glass Pane effect - Guided Edit

Make it look like your scene is taking place behind glass!

Use this guided edit to create a fun glass pane effect on your video or photo through matte overlays. The glass pane effect makes it look like the action in your scene is taking place behind a glass.

New Luma Fade Transition effect - Guided Edit

Create a dramatic scene transition by fading in the colors!

Use this guided edit to create a cool transition effect between two video clips, two images, or an image and a video clip. The Luma Fade Transition effect creates a dramatic scene transition by fading in the colors from darkest to lightest.

New video file format support [macOS 10.13 and above]

Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 supports the import and editing of media captured with the following codecs:

  • High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF) for images 
  • High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) for videos 

iOS devices running on iOS 11 or higher versions capture video and image files with these codecs.

Hardware-accelerated HEVC decoding is supported on MacBook Pro and iMac Pro machines with macOS 10.13. Hardware decode acceleration is automatically selected as the default option on Mac if the hardware supports it.

Enhanced animated GIF export

In addition to Windows, you can now export animated GIFs on Mac.

Variable Frame Rate support

Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 automatically synchronizes the audio with videos captured from mobile devices that have variable frame rate (VFR).

Performance enhancements

Working with Premiere Elements is now easier and faster than before!

The following performance improvements are implemented in Premiere Elements 2019:

  • Download and installation: Experience a faster download and installation.
  • Launch: Witness a faster launch from the Elements Home screen.
  • Playback: Experience an improved playback, scrubbing, and render.

Removed features

The following features are no longer supported in Adobe Premiere Elements 2019:

  • Flash files
  • DVD [Mac-only]
  • Quick time format
    Note: Codecs supported by native operating systems continue to work.
  • Direct share on Facebook 
    Note: You can save your creations to your computer and share those on Facebook separately. For more information about this issue and the workaround, see Unable to upload photos and videos to Facebook.
