Fill an area using the Paint Bucket tool

Fill areas of similar color with the foreground color

  1. Select the Paint Bucket tool  (G) from the toolbar. If you can’t find the Paint Bucket tool, select and hold the Gradient tool to show the other related tools, and then select the Paint Bucket tool.

  2. In the tool options bar, choose to fill the selection with the foreground color.

  3. Select the upper color selection box in the toolbar and choose a foreground color in the color picker.

  4. In the tool options bar, you can specify the following options — Mode, Opacity, Tolerance, Anti-alias, Contiguous, and All Layers.

  5. Select the part of the image you want to fill with the chosen color.
