Caching Operations
This document (see link below) contains additional documentation for caching operations in Adobe LiveCycle ES (8.0), LiveCycle ES Update 1 (8.2) and LiveCycle ES2 (9.0), specifically for Forms ES and Output ES.
This document describes the theory of operation of the cache control subsystem of Adobe LiveCycle Forms ES and Output ES.
The cache is an important performance optimization and it has a number of settings and controls that govern its operation. By understanding the cache design and operation, you can choose the settings that give the best possible performance and can understand the functional effects of the settings on Forms ES and Output ES operations.
This document describes the cache operation of two separate LiveCycle components, Forms ES and Output ES. The cache designs of these services are similar, but there are significant differences that must be kept in mind.
This document also describes the cache operation of two separate LiveCycle releases, LiveCycle ES 8.0.1 and LiveCycle ES Update 1 8.2.1. Again, the design of the cache in both instances is similar, but with significant differences.
