Search excerpt highlights word within other words incorrectly| AEM 6.x

When using the out-of-the-box search component, the search result excerpts highlight the terms within words.  For example, if you searched for "this is a test", then "is" and the letter "a" would be highlighted within all words in the excerpt.

Cause

This is a known product bug in Oak repository.

Resolution

The issue is fixed in AEM 6.4 and with an Oak Cumulative Fix Pack in 6.2 and 6.3:

• Install AEM 6.2 Oak 1.4.20 or later
• Install AEM 6.3 Oak 1.6.8 or later
