Whether you’re correcting an odd angle of a photo, making space for text and shapes, or just improving the overall look of an image, flipping and rotating are simple and quick edits to make. You can try how your image looks with a different angle, and switch it back quickly if it doesn’t work out.
The angle of a photo’s subject can direct the viewer’s attention, leading the eye to the information that you want to emphasize. By flipping or rotating the photo, you can ensure that you’re sending just the right message. Or by flipping and rotating, you can play with duplicating, mirroring, and layering images at different angles. Make quick corrections or get creative by following these steps.
Flip a photo horizontally or vertically
- Select the image.
- Click the horizontal flip icon or the vertical flip icon.
Rotate a photo:
- Select the photo.
- Click, hold, and drag the icon to swing the photo until it’s at the angle you like.
Flip or rotate a group of assets:
You can flip or rotate a single photo, or you can adjust an entire group of assets at the same time.
To flip or rotate a group:
- Select multiple assets by holding down Shift on your keyboard as you click them.
- Click the Group button in the left panel.
You can now use the flip and rotate tools for the entire group.
If you don’t want to adjust the entire group, but you click a photo and see that you have selected a group of assets rather than a single asset, you can ungroup them. Just click Ungroup.
You can now select the photo that you would like to adjust.
