Enable senders to set a password to view an agreement.
Agreements that demand stronger security to view their content may want to install a PDF-level password that blocks viewing the agreement without authenticating first.
Signed Document Password Protection allows (or requires) senders to apply a password to block access to an individual agreement.
Once enabled, this option applies to individual agreements, web forms, custom workflow templates, and Send in Bulk transactions.

There is one configurable option with three values:
When enabled, the password for viewing the agreement is available to the sender, but not required. The sender can insert any password that complies with the Document Password Strength setting (found in the Security Settings admin menu).
When enabled, an alert icon appears next to the Password setting in the Agreement Settings section.
Senders must enter a password that meets the Document Password Strength requirements before sending the agreement.

Configure these settings immediately after enabling any password-related feature, such as Signed Document Password Protection.
How it's used
This setting controls whether senders can or must add a viewing password in Agreement Settings when composing an agreement.
For details on the sender's experience, refer to the user guide for the relevant interface.
Things to consider
Every time you want to view a protected agreement, you must provide the password.
Individualized passwords for each agreement require some method of recovery. This is particularly true if more than one sender creates passwords.
To simplify password recovery, establish a pattern that authorized users can decipher without contacting the original sender. For example, combine the user's email with their customer number.
Use a secure method to share passwords, preferably outside the agreement, such as verbal communication over the phone.
