Existing users

Adobe and Google are working on an update to the integration between DCM and Adobe Data Connector, involving a new API for importing data. This requires a manual change on your end in order to continue the integration.

To transition to the new API and continue the data imports, please follow the steps below before June 30, 2015:

  1. Make a new user profile with Google using your Admin UI in DCM (Double Click Manager) console.
  2. Sign in to https://www.google.com/dfa/trafficking/ . In the following screenshots, we are using our test account genesis-tech@omniture.com.

  1. Go to the Admin tab and select User Profiles to get the information such as various user profiles, name of the profile, the account ID they are associated with, status, the email ID they are linked to, and the user role.

  1. Click New.

  1. Add the following details:
  • Email: dataconnectors@adobe.com
  • Choose a profile name.
  • Select a User Role having sufficient permissions for accessing Reporting and Trafficking service.

These are the minimum permissions required for the User Role:

  • Permissions you had for the User Role associated with your old user profile (i.e. the user profile for which you previously added details in DFA integration wizard)
  • Reporting -> DFA reporting access
  • Reporting -> View Cost
  • Trafficking -> Floodlight: Full access
  • Trafficking -> Floodlight: Read-only access

For the data we are currently importing from DCM to Adobe Analytics, these permissions should be enough.
Although, to make sure there are no permission related issues in the future, it is recommended to have more permissions in the User Role, especially ‘read-only access’ permissions for Trafficking and ‘view’ permissions for Reporting.

Примечание.

The new user profile that you created and the old user profile for which you added details in the DFA integration wizard should both be associated to the same DCM account.

Frequently asked questions

Why am I required to create a new user profile?

We are migrating from the old FTP process to using DCM/DFA Reporting and Trafficking API for importing your data from DCM to Adobe Analytics. You are required to link your user profile to Adobe’s Google account (dataconnectors@adobe.com), so as to allow us API access to your data.

What impact does it have on the imported data?

There won’t be any changes in the data being imported. You will continue receiving the same data as before.
