Adobe and Singapore GST laws

Adobe is applying the Singapore Goods and Services Tax (GST) on electronic services (e-services) starting in January 2020. This tax applies to transactions by companies that supply e-services, including Adobe.

Why was I charged a GST?

Singapore has imposed a tax on e-services, which includes software subscriptions.

How much GST do I have to pay?

The Singapore GST rate is 7% but is subject to change.

I have an existing plan. When do I get charged this tax?

For monthly and annual paid monthly plans, you are billed the GST starting in January 2020. If you have an existing prepaid annual plan, the GST goes into effect when your plan renews.

Note:

This change does not affect the base price of your Adobe plan.

My business is tax exempt. How can I provide my tax ID?

You can provide your tax ID starting January 17, 2020.

If you are the contract owner who purchased the teams membership through Adobe.com, you can edit the payment details through the Admin Console.

  1. In the Admin Console, navigate to Account.

  2. Under Plan Details, look for Payment Method, and click Manage Payment.

  3. In the GST ID field, provide your GST ID.

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Adobe account.

  2. Click Manage plan.

  3. Click Manage payment. (You may have to sign in with your Adobe ID.)

  4. In the GST ID field, provide your GST ID.

  5. Click Save.
