When using /etc/map with vanity URL, the vanity URL does not work as expected. To fix, change the priority of vanity URL over /etc/map.

Objective

Configure vanity URLs to work with /etc/map mappings.

Environment

  • AEM 6.x
  • With CQ 5.6.1, a hot fix (NPR-3948) is required.

Steps

  1. Go to http://host:port/system/console/configMgr and log in as admin.
  2. Find the Apache Sling Resource Resolver Factory [1] configuration.
  3. Check the property Vanity Path Precedence (for example, resource.resolver.vanity.precedence).
  4. Click Save.

This flag controls the vanity paths precedence over existing /etc/map mapping.
