Feature summary - Adobe Camera Raw (June 2023 release)

Learn about major new features and enhancements in the June 2023 release of Adobe Camera Raw (version 15.4).

Fine-tune your photos using Refine Saturation

When you make edits using the Point Curve tool, the overall saturation of the image changes when you drag the curve points. To control the saturation changes upon making Point Curve adjustments, you can use the Refine Saturation slider and manually adjust saturation as needed.

Currently, the Refine Saturation slider is available only in the RGB channel in Point Curve

  1. Open a RAW photo you want to edit. Select Edit > Point Curve

  2. Once you've adjusted the overall tonal range in an image using the Point Curve tool, select the RGB channels icon to see the Refine Saturation slider.

Adjust Grain in a photo while using Masking

Enhance your photos by adjusting the amount of grain to specific parts of your image. Adjust the grain amount and creatively spin your photographs by enhancing backgrounds, an out-of-focus image, and more.

  1. Open a RAW photo you want to edit and add the desired Masks.

  2. Once you've made the edits in the selected mask, select Effects > Grain

  3. Use the Grain slider to adjust the intensity of the grain. You can use the Size and Roughness sliders as required to adjust the grain in an image. These settings will apply to the universal and masked areas of the image.
