How do I purchase and install FrameMaker?

You can purchase a subscription or non-subscription version of FrameMaker. You'll need to sign in with an Adobe ID and password to complete the purchase and download the product. Can I download a trial copy of FrameMaker?

Yes! You can download a trial version from the Adobe Downloads page. You'll need to sign in with an Adobe ID and password to download a trial. For detailed instructions, see this article on installing a trial.

How do I retrieve my Adobe ID or password?

Can I install FrameMaker on another computer?

You can install FrameMaker on up to two computers. If you want to install it on a third computer, you need to deactivate it on one of your previous machines. Learn more about activating and deactivating Adobe apps. If you need five or more licenses, consider purchasing a volume licensing plan.

Account management

How can I change my password?

Sign in to your Adobe accounts page with your current Adobe ID and password. From there, click the Security & Privacy tab, and then click Change under Password. For more information on changing your password and other account information, see Manage your Adobe ID account.

How can I change my credit card info?

You can update your credit card information from your accounts page on adobe.com. See Payment in the Adobe Store | Online order and payment FAQ.

My trial expires soon. How do I convert it?

You can easily convert a trial version of FrameMaker (2017 release) to a subscription. Simply choose the subscription option when you add the product to your cart from the Adobe Store. For more information, see Subscription information and pricing in the FrameMaker FAQ.

How do I cancel my subscription? Can I still use the software I have?

You can cancel your subscription from your accounts page on adobe.com or by contacting Adobe Support. If you cancel within 14 days, you receive a full refund. Otherwise, you are billed 50% of your remaining contract obligation. You will not have access to your subscription software after you cancel. Common questions

Why do I see gray screen on switching to Author View?

If you are using a high-resolution monitor with more than 125% of zoom, then you might see the gray screen on switching to Author View. See Author View turns gray on high-resolution monitors for a solution.  

Why is my TOC missing from responsive HTML5 output?

If you view the responsive HTML5 output generated from FrameMaker (2015 release) in Safari on iOS, then your TOC might not appear correctly. See Missing TOC from responsive HTML5 output on iOS v10 for a solution.  

Why is my responsive HTML5 output not showing up in Google search?
