Merge the layers
Lukianova started by flattening the layers into a single image using the flyout menu on the Layers panel.
Pick your product
She then selected the product packaging she wanted from the available presets (3D > New Mesh From Layer > Mesh Preset > Soda).
Change your viewpoint
Lukianova used Orbit the 3D Camera tool in the 3D workspace (Window > Workspace > 3D) to control her view of the can. She set the scene to Current View from the 3D panel (Window > 3D), then dragged in different directions to change her view of the can within the space.
Upsize your design
To resize the can, she clicked on it to show the 3D axis. Then she dragged the center of the cube up and down to scale the can the way she wanted.
Give it a spin
Lukianova hovered over the red y-axis marker until the yellow circle appeared. Then she dragged to rotate the can to the right for better positioning.
Move it on its axis
She moved the can within the space by dragging the conical tip on each axis point.
Fabricate the material
The 3D panel has options to apply a more realistic finish to the product. Lukianova selected Label_Material under the Soda category then adjusted the settings.
Turn on the light
Lukianova completed the composition with the light angle. She selected Infinite Light from the 3D panel and moved the knob to change the direction of the light. She then adjusted the color and softened the shadow by moving the slider. When she was happy with the results, she clicked Render.
Give it some background
Add a simple background to your product designs to make them stand out.
