Delete temporary files using the Disk Cleanup utility (Windows XP)

To delete temporary files using the Disk Cleanup utility:

  1. Close any open applications.

  2. Open My Computer.

  3. Right-click the system drive, and then select Properties.

  4. On the General tab, select Disk Cleanup.

  5. Scroll down in the Files To Delete list and select Temporary Files.

  6. Select OK, and then select Yes to confirm.

  7. Close the system drive Properties dialog box.
