Catalog Producer leverages the integration of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets with InDesign server to import InDesign files and reuse them as templates to generate product catalogs in AEM Assets.
Before creating catalogs, configure AEM Assets to integrate with InDesign server. In particular, configure the DAM Update Asset workflow, which is specifically suited for integration with InDesign. In addition, configure a proxy worker for InDesign server. For details, see Integrating AEM Assets with InDesign Server.
To upload Indesign templates, navigate to the Catalog Producer page, and upload the templates to the Templates folder.
註解:
Before you import InDesign templates, you can create them using InDesign files. For details, see Working with files and templates. Also, map the elements in your InDesign files to the XML tags. The mapped tags are displayed as properties when you map product properties with template properties in Catalog Producer. To learn about XML tagging in InDesign files, see Tagging content for XML.
註解:
Templates currently used are made as InDesgin Files (.indd) . Templates with extension .indt are not supported.

If the metadata of the products that you reference in the catalog pages is changed, the changes are not automatically reflected in the catalog pages. In addition, a banner labeled Stale appears on the product images in all the referencing catalog pages, which indicates that the metadata for the referenced products is not up-to-date.
To ensure that the product images reflect the latest metadata changes, select the page in the Catalog console and click/tap the Update page icon from the toolbar.

You can change the metadata for a referenced product by navigating to the Products console (AEM Logo > Commerce > Products), and selecting the product. Then, you click/tap the View Properties icon from the toolbar and edit the metadata in the Properties page.
