Bottom portion of video is black
When you export a high-definition MPEG-2 file, the bottom third of the video frame comes through as pure black (Windows only).
Solution: Reduce the number of cores available to the CPU
The issue is due to a problem with the multiprocessing that is being used during the media encoding process. To fix it, reduce the number of cores available to the CPU to a safe amount.
- In the start menu, under search programs and files, type in MSCONFIG and launch msconfig.exe
- In the System Configuration Utility, choose the Boot tab.
- Click Advanced options.
- Place a check mark in Number of processors:
- Change the drop-down list to read 32 or less.
