Project creation fails in Safari 11.1

When attempting to create an article in AEM 6.3/6.4, the progress indicator spins and an error appears, "Bad Request".

Environment

Mac OS Safari version 11.1

Cause

The cause is under investigation.

Resolution

The only solution is to use another browser. This document shall be updated as new information is available.
